I'm so glad when Daddy come home (or meets us at the bay area discovery musuem)

Glad as glad can be!

Clap my hands, and shout for joy and climb up on his knee.

Put my arms around his neck and hug him tight like this.

Pat his cheek and give him what? A great big kiss.

oh the innocent joy of children!

Our delicate princess.

Melts my heart every time.

So ummmm... this is about as far as we have come in the exciting world of potty training. Don't worry folks trust me the seat hasn't been used even once.

Emme said her first word. It was ball..... hmmm. Palmer's this might be your socceer player.

Guess which child was supposed to fall asleep? Let's just say that Emme is cheering over her defeat of her mother's nap time regime, whle Ben decided that a nap and a ten 'o'clock Bed time fit better into his schedule for the day. Regardless of the mixup I was happy to be outside and running!

Guess who started the toaster on fire??? Our little curious George thought it would be fun to see what happens when you toast formula powder (don't try this at home. trust me it doesn't turn out well). I awoke to the sound of the fire alarm and dashed downstairs. I didn't have my contacts in but it was hard to miss the flames leaping towards my son as he sat mesmerized and screaming, " fire engine mom. " Disaster averted thanks to our smoke detectors. My mom ( mother of seven) says that she runs around all day stomping out fire's. Well Mom, now I think I understand what you mean.
P.S Please observe what Ben has on his pajamas.

I was trying to take some "dramatic" pictures of miss Emme. I don't know if it worked.... I think I like the first one and not the second. Anyways her eyes are stunning....it would be hard to mess that up though.

Finally!!!! Ben has acknowledged that yes, Emme is here, that she is staying and that perhaps she might be somewhat fun to play with (as long as she stays away from his tommy trains). Just the other day, while in the car, I turned in response to Emme’s giggling to catch Ben making funny faces to amuse her. My heart melted. It also made me think about the tremendous impact a sibling can have on the first born. I struggled with guilt after the birth of Emme believing that Ben somehow had been asked untimely to relinquish his spotlight. There are times my heart breaks when his needs are placed second to a slightly more demanding little sister. But then, there are the times like when he prays for Emme on his own, when he lets her claw at him without hitting back, and when I see him hand over a precious toy saying, “Emme’s turn”. It is these times when my heart is full of gratitude for the way he has changed, for the wonderful boy he is because he learned to share, his toys, his parents and the spotlight.

Emme is enjoying the same toy that Benny loved not too long ago! Looking at Benny's old pictures reminds us to cherish every moment with our precious children because they grow up way to fast!

Just some cute pictures I wanted to post. Today Ben looked at the middle picture and said to Bobby, " Look daddy, Emme falling on Ben- Ben. " Who would have ever thought my baby boy would be speaking in sentences!

Dinner time at the Palmer residence is never a bit boring.

Mommy and the kids! Bobby and I went to the "over the hump" party to celebrate dental school being half way finished! We left the children with a good friend and were free for a whole evening. It was fun but we were ready to see our children's beautiful faces at the end of the night.

We got to give Benny some blog time too! Ben fufilled his life long obsession and finally rode on a real (well real enough) train!

Emme is now half of Ben's weight and gaining fast! Ben sings his ABC's and can count to ten. They both miss their grandparents very much!
